Using the slow cooker can make or break some people. It seems easy but all it takes is the wrong seasoning, too much salt or not enough time and you can kiss that 6-hour delicious aroma goodbye.


Here's a foolproof recipe that I can promise will knock anyone's socks off.

  1. Finely dice onion and garlic cloves. The smaller you can cut them the more flavour will soak into your dish.

  2. When the slow cooker is heated up add all ingredients to the pot. Stir once or twice so everything is evenly spaced in the pot.

  3. Cook on low for 4 - 6 hours. Try not to open the lid too often (i know it's going to be hard) but you'll know it is done when the chicken pulls apart with a spoon.

  4. Remove from slow cooker, pull chicken apart with spoon or two forks. Let sit then serve.
